Located in the beachside suburb of Elwood, this project presents a considered reinterpretation of contemporary bayside living.

Originally occupied by a deteriorated 1970s brown brick dwelling, the Gordon Avenue site offered a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the area’s understated residential fabric. While unconstrained by heritage overlays, the site carried an inherent sense of character, enabling a design approach that carefully negotiates the relationship between existing context and contemporary expression, balancing elements of past and present with clarity and intent.
